HOUSTON A man has been charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with three shootings on Sunday in southwest Houston.

John Richard Smith, 38, is accused of fatally shooting Christine Cousins, 27, and also shooting Seketha Jacobs, 23, in the 3900 block of Dalmatian. Jacobs was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she is expected to survive her injuries.

Smith is also accused of shooting 50-year-old Ned Johnson at about 2 p.m. in the 14000 block of Littlefield. Johnson was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He is also expected to survive his injuries.
