GALVETON, Texas -- A Southeast Texas man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison in a child pornography investigation sparked by a police officer in Germany.

Prosecutors in Galveston say 50-year-old Phillip Edward Baker of Angleton was sentenced Monday after being convicted of receipt and possession of child pornography. Baker was also convicted of accessing a website with intent to view child pornography.

The investigation began when a German police officer investigating child pornography used online information that led to Baker. Details were turned over to officers in Texas.

Federal agents in February 2010 searched Baker s home and seized two computers, CDs and photos. Investigators located nearly 6,600 images of child porn.
