HOUSTON Screams can be heard, and punches seen in some of the latest video to surface from a brawl at Dekaney High School in north Harris County.

A Spring Independent School District police officer used pepper spray to break up the large crowd of people who gathered to watch the fight on Monday.

A parent complained to KHOU about the number of fights at Dekaney High School, which her son attends. An estimated 2,400 students attend the campus, which is located near Imperial Valley Drive and Bammel.

It s horrible, these fights happen every day, said the mother, who asked not to be identified.

A district spokesperson said no one was hurt by the pepper spray or in the fight.

Monday s fight came after a small riot broke out at the schoolin May.

That fight was also caught on tape and posted on Youtube. As a result of that fight, Spring ISD said it posted more teachers, police and administrators in hallways. The number of students in hallways was also reduced.

Spring ISD administrators met after the latest fight to discuss how it was handled. They determined that the police officer did not violate policy and will not be disciplined.

In the meantime parents continue calling for additional safety measures at the school.
