ANDREWS, Texas -- Two drivers have been charged over the death of a West Texas woman whose vehicle was hit when she turned in front of two cars racing along a busy street.
Investigators say the accident happened on Main Street in Andrews. The victim was 48-year-old Irma Macias.
Andrews Police Chief Bud Jones says witnesses reported that two vehicles were traveling side by side, at an excessive rate of speed, when the collision happened.
Sheriff s authorities say two men from Andrews have been charged with criminally negligent homicide. Neither man was injured in the accident Sunday afternoon.
