HOUSTON Ten passengers were aboard a Metro Light Rail when an 18-wheeler slammed into it Tuesday in downtown Houston.

Metro officials said the 18-wheeler mail truck was traveling westbound on Pease at Main Street when it ran into the light rail, derailing one of the train cars.

The truck driver and one train passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A bus bridge was temporarily set up until the rail line was repaired.
