THE WOODLANDS, Texas Business owners areblaming Tuesday morning ssevere weatherand a leaking roof for filling their stores with ankle-deep water.

Dr. KimFeuquay said her dental office was ruined when rainwater came gushing in through the ceiling. She said the flood damaged thousands of dollars in equipment.

I pretty much have to start from ground zero, said Feuquay. I think the most frustrating part is that this was preventable.

Owners in the Shops at Alden Bridge on FM 1488 said they complained to their landlord on Fridayabout leaking water and the problem wasn t fixed.

I emailed them on Sunday night, telling them I didn t receive a response and there was more rain in the forecast, said salon owner Adriana Hinojosa. Nothing happened, and look what everybody is dealing with today.

Hinojosa said she even called an emergency hotline for Bennington Properties and never received a response.

KHOUalso reached out to themanagement company Tuesday afternoon, and we are stillwaiting for a comment.

With thousands of dollars in damage, Dr.Feuquay said it could take her a month or more to get her dental office back in operation.

If I did dentistry like they handled their business, I wouldn t be in business, said Feuquay.
