MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas A motorcyclist accused of trying to outrun Houston police was killed in a crash in Montgomery County early Thursday.

It happened shortly before 7 a.m. on East Martin Drive a few blocks east of the Eastex Freeway.

An officer with the Houston Police Department spotted the suspect, 24-year-old Marcus Davis, heading north on Interstate 59 going so fast it wasn t safe to pull him over until he slowed and got off at Northpark.

But, instead of stopping, Davis raced north on Loop 494.

At Martin Road, witnesses didn t hear sirens. They just saw flashing lights and the suspect ran a red light.

Davis clipped the back passenger side of a Ford Mustang driven by Santo Reya. Davis died instantly.

Reya s Mustang then hit Oralia Lopez s black pickup. She was on her way to work when the accident happened.

That motorcycle was coming really, really fast, Carlos Garcia, a witness, said.

No other serious injuries were reported.

She didn t know what happened. It happened in an instant, Rosalinda Munoz, the Lopez s daughter, said.
