HOUSTON -- Between Facebook, Skype, and SMS you probably use a lot of different apps to keep in contact with others. Viber may change that.

This week it launched the PC and Mac version of its service, so now all of your messages are synced up no matter which device you re on. This adds on to its mobile platforms, which have more than 200 million users.

Similar to Skype, Viber officers free voice calls, text messages, photo, and video sharing -- as long as you have an internet connection. What makes Viber unique is it users your cell phone number, not a username. This means anyone who knows your phone number can also find you on Viber.

Along with its new PC and Mac programs, Viber has apps out for the iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Nokia, and Bada.
