HOUSTON An officer was grazed by a bullet coming from a nearby robbery during a routine traffic stop early Sunday morning.

Around 3:45 a.m., the officer pulled a vehicle over in the parking lot of a Kroger at Airline and Parker.

While he was handling the traffic stop, a robbery was taking place several blocks away, according to authorities. Shots were fired at the robbery scene and a bullet or fragment grazed the officer s leg.

Other officers arrived on the scene and located the robbery victim. Neither the victim nor the officer was injured and they were not transported for medical attention.

Police are still searching for the robbery suspect.
