HOUSTON Houston Texans corner back Johnathan Joseph, who missed practice both on Wednesday and Thursday, was back on the field on Friday and should be ready to go Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

I m feeling fine, said Joseph after practice on Friday. I was a little sorer than I expected on Thursday, came out today (Friday), did everything. I should be fine to go Sunday.

Yeah, I thought that s where we were heading, but you never know until he gets back out there, said Texans head coach Gary Kubiak. Unless he comes in sore tomorrow or there is a problem, he sure looked pretty good at practice today.

Joseph has 13 tackles and one interception through the first 3 games of the season. He is glad to get a little work in before the Texans try to improve to 4-0 against their AFC South rival.

Some people tend at times to not go out and want to practice all week and just come out and play on Sunday, said Joseph. For the most part, if you want to be good on Sunday you got to get some work during the week so you can feel comfortable going into the game and give your teammates and coaches confidence as well.

He s a leader back there on the back end. He s our, the old saying, the shutdown corner on each football team, said Kubiak. He s our guy. It s very important and he s been playing extremely well.

The only other injury of note for the Texans is WR Lestar Jean, who Kubiak said earlier in the week would need surgery and will be out the next couple of weeks.
