A former Texans player has been arrested for speeding, and now the trooper who put him in handcuffs is in trouble too.

Sam Montgomery, a defensive lineman, was pulled over in South Carolina for driving 89 mph in a 55 mph zone.

DPS officials said the arrest was legal, but the trooper s behavior during the stop was unprofessional. The trooper was suspended without pay.

Montgomery was out on bond. He had been released by the Texans for violating team rules, and playing with the Cincinnati Bengals at the time of his arrest.
