SAN ANTONIO -- Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will be in the Alamo city Friday to answer questions about glitches that have plagued the Affordable Care Act website.
Sebelius will meet with Mayor Julian Castro and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff at Centro Med Health and Wellness Center in the 3700 block of Commercial Ave. on the city's south side at 12:45 p.m.
She will participate in a panel discussion going over resources and enrollment efforts on the healthcare website.
Her visit comes a day after four government contractors hired to build the website testified and answered questions from members of Congress in Washington.
Those contractors stated not enough testing and too many last minute changes by the federal agency overseeing the website was a factor in the glitches.
Sebelius wasn't available to testifiy because she was touring one of the call centers in Phoenix that helps people find the right health care plan.
She told reporters there the website is still a work in progress.
It's better today than it was on October 1, but it's a long way from perfect. And we are determined to have it be perfect. said Sebelius.
Sebelius came under fire for not being inWashington to address the glitches yesterday however sheis expected to testify next week.
