SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- A San Antonio man is facing aggravated robbery charges for allegedly stealing an iPhone at gunpoint.

San Antonio police said La Vorne Bennett, 23, posted an ad on Craigslist, soliciting a $200 iPhone. Wanting to upgrade his phone, a 21-year-old man replied to the listing and met up with Bennett inside a meat-market parking lot on Austin Highway.

According to his arrest warrant, Bennett slid into the passenger's side of the victim's car, pulled out a handgun and demanded the man hand over his money.

The robber got away with the victim's car keys, iPhone and wallet.

Empowered with technology, the victim was able to look up recent activity on his stolen phone through his iCloud account -- a storage back-up system for Apple users that makes data available across multiple devices, including photos.

Police said the victim found multiple so-called selfies that the suspect had snapped of himself with the stolen phone.

Crime Stoppers released those images to the public and immediately received several tips identifying Bennett as the robber, according to investigators.

Bennett was arrested Thursday by police.
