HOUSTON Three masked gunmen terrorizedbank employees and customersin Rice VillageThursday afternoon.

The suspects stormed into the Texas Gulf Bank in the 5600 block of Kirby near Rice around 2 p.m.

They demanded money with guns drawn, according to West University Place police. They orderedthe three employees andone customerin the bank to hit the ground.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. That was my main concern when I was called. Everyone seems to be doing well, said Texas Gulf Bank CEO James Brown. Of course, they did get away with a certain amount of money we will not disclose.

The robbers escaped in a white pickup truck, but later ditched it for another vehicle. The second vehicle is described as a silver four-door Nissan Maxima.

Brown said they would close again tomorrow and reopen Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday.
