HOUSTON A northwest Houston apartment fire was quickly contained early Tuesday morning.

According to the Houston Fire Department, firefighters were called to a complex on Hammerly Boulevard at Pech Road around 2 a.m.

The first crews on the scene reported seeing flames shooting through the roof. Firefighters made a fast attack to contain the flames and had it knocked out in about 10 minutes.

No injuries were reported, and firefighters noted the burned apartment was vacant.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
