HOUSTON Since June, nine customers leaving a check cashing business on Crosstimbers at Fulton have been followed home and robbed.
Houston Police Department Sgt. Tony Guzman said the attacker isn t just looking for money, but apparently wants to hurt people.
The victims were being completely compliant with him and he just starts pistol whipping and several of them sustained some serious injuries to their head and their face, said Guzman.
You could see the bone through this one, one victim said pointing to his face.
This victim, who doesn t want to be identified was hit twice and thought he was going to die.
He actually cocked the gun, the victim said.
He showed us a picture of him taken right after the beating. The 21-year-old s face was completely swollen.
He told us he was so upset he wanted to hunt down the suspect himself. He has since calmed down.
Eight of the nine victims actually lives in the immediate area. One stopped to get a pizza down the street to take home and was followed the entire way.
The suspect was driving what appeared to be a 2002 or 2003 Chevy Malibu.
In one case a victim saw a paper dealer tag and the first numbers as 10, Guzman said.
