HOUSTON One man was fatally shot, and three others injured Sunday after a dispute took place during a poker game at a home in northeast Harris County, investigators said.

It happened at about 12:44 a.m. in the 11800 block of Varnell where a gathering was taking place.

During a poker game Manuel Morales, 41, was asked to leave because he was causing problems, investigators said.

Harris County deputies said Morales left and got a gun out his SUV and then came back in and began randomly shooting. Angel Vazquez, 48, Jose Vazquez, 58 and Alberto Vazquez, 54 were injured. That s when deputies said Angel Vazquez got his handgun and shot back at Morales.

Morales jumped into his truck and drove to a Shell gas station to call for help.

Three of the men were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious but stable condition. Angel Vazquez was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Harris County Sheriff s investigators charged Morales with murder.
