HOUSTON Harris County deputies have released a suspect sketch of a man who crawled into a window and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl.

The attack happened on Sept. 14 at The Haverstock Hills apartments located in the 5600 block of Aldine Bender, deputies said.

The victim told investigators that the unidentified man crawled through her bedroom window at about 5 a.m.

That is a heightened level of aggression, a heightened level of criminal behavior. When you will force entry into a child's home in the middle of the night, and the cover of darkness, in order to sexually assault her, you pose a greater risk to society at large, said Ryan Saunders with Crime Stoppers.

Investigators said the man climbed in only to the child s room and then left.

What bothers me is the climbing in the window. Now you gotta make sure that your window is locked every night, said Ciona Ledet, a neighbor. I know that little girl. What happened to that little girl is just cold.

The apartment complex is gated, but there is so much traffic in and out of it that investigators can t be sure if the suspect lives there or not.

Harris County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to call 713-222-TIPS.
