HOUSTON A 25-year-old woman is facing serious charges after she intentionally ran over people with a car during an altercation in southeast Houston Monday night, according to Houston police.
Melony April Williams was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and accident with injury.
Police said Williams and several other women were fighting in the 2700 block of Tierwester around 9 p.m. when just lost it. She allegedly hopped into a white Dodge Magnum, accelerated and ran right into the other women who were still in the street.
Williams then put the car in reverse and backed into two parked vehicles, police said.
Not stopping there, she jumped into a nearby tow truck in an effort to flee the scene, but the driver tossed her out.
At that time, another vehicle came along and picked her up.
Williams returned a short time later, which is when she was taken into custody by police at the scene.
At least one person was taken to the hospital.
