LA PORTE -- A La Porte father is accused of ordering his two young sons to fight a 7-year-old boy.

Police say Quinton Bell took part in the fight by kicking the boy.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex in the 300 block of North 2nd Street in La Porte.

Bell reportedly told officers that 7-year-old Anthony Vaca started it all by pushing his son to the ground.

According to La Porte police, Bell then orchestrated the fight between his kids and Vaca.

I see a man standing over my son, and my son s holding his hand up, like he just beat my son, explained mother Jennifer Yates.

Jennifer Yates says she confronted Bell, and she claims he also turned on her.

He tells me that he ll hit me. He s not scared to hit a woman. I asked him repeatedly what he was doing standing over my son. He didn t have an explanation for it, explained Yates.

Anthony Vaca says the brothers who were fighting him are his friends and classmates from La Porte Elementary.

They were kicking me in my face and choking me, claimed the 7-year-old. His big brother stomped on my belly.

Vaca says he was first play fighting with one of the brothers.

His dad got mad for some reason, and his dad was looking for me, explained Anthony Vaca. He came and pushed me down.

Neighbor Jacquline Flowers says she witnessed the fight in progress. She says there were about ten other adults standing around Vaca and not helping him.

I seen them fighting the little boy. I seen them slam him to the ground. I told them to stop it, and he pushed me, said Flowers.

Flowers says she shouted for the boy s mother to come and save her child.

It messed with me, added Flowers. He really should be ashamed of himself.

KHOU 11 News attempted to get a comment at Bell s apartment.

That s my daughter s husband. I don t know what s going on around here. I don t want to talk to ya ll, said a woman standing in the doorway.

Bell is being held on $10,000 bond. He is facing a felony charge of injury to a child.

Court records show that this is not his first run-in with the law.
