DALLAS First Baptist Dallas dedicated the fountain at the heart of its sprawling, new downtown campus on Palm Sunday evening.

Next weekend, the church will celebrate the official grand opening of a renovation that has been years in the making and has transformed the city skyline.

News 8 got a preview of the church's $130 million downtown campus last week. The centerpiece is a 3,000-seat worship complex designed to feel majestic and intimate.

There is also a five-story family center dedicated to the children and youth ministries, including indoor playgrounds and bright classrooms.

First Baptist Dallas has been a part of downtown Dallas for 145 years.
