GALVESTON, Texas -- A man who police say is a person of interestin the death of a Galveston bakery ownerfaced a judge overnight.

Harold Norwood, 41, was arrested in Houston over the weekend on an aggravated assault charge in a different case.

The bond for Norwood was initially set at $30,000, but in court early Monday a judge took away the bond entirely, saying Norwood is a suspect in other felonies.

Galveston police said Norwood is a person of interest in the murder of Juan Navarro, a local baker. Norwood was reportedly seen driving Navarro's SUVfollowingthe murder, but he has not been charged in the crime.

Norwood faces a felony charge for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, police said.

Galveston police said they plan to question him while he s in jail on the charges.

The murder victim was the owner of Panaderia Navarro.Navarro was assaulted, and his vehicle was stolen from his business in the 3800-block of Broadway. He later died at the hospital.
