GALVESTON, Texas -- Investigators say a North Carolina physician and her husband who committed suicide in a Southeast Texas hotel apparently had money trouble.

Details are in a Galveston police report on last summer s deaths of 53-year-old Dr. Leslie Cargile and 58-year-old William Cargile.

Toxicology results found Cargile, who practiced in Black Mountain, N.C., and her spouse took overdoses of prescription drugs.

Sgt. Mark Pilsner, in a police report released last week, indicated the couple lived in an expensive home and apparently had severe financial trouble. Specifics weren t immediately disclosed.

Police believe the couple arrived in Galveston on Aug. 19. Their bodies were discovered Aug. 24 in a Galveston hotel room.
