HOUSTON Police arrested a man Sunday night after a 15-minute car chase in north Houston.

Police were responding to a report of a kidnapping when they came across the suspect in his vehicle at the intersection of Airline and Crosstimbers streets.

They told him to stop what he was doing, but the suspect took off in his car.

The chase ended at East 34th Street when the suspect ran his car through a fence, police said.

The suspect exited the car and then hid underneath a house, police said. They used a K-9 unit to get him to come out from under the home.

Police confirmed that there was never a kidnapping, but the suspect did get into a dispute with a woman prior to the car chase.
