It is not known who shot the video or whether it had been edited. The video shows several teens fighting in a near empty basketball court after the game. Several people can be heard screaming and fights are shown during the two-minute video.

Manvel High Principal Darrell Alexander says the brawl began after a LaMarque student pushed down the mom of a Manvel player.

I am very proud of actually what our students, how they behaved and again it took a lot of restraint initially and then they were only defending themselves during the situation, said Alexander.

According to Alexander, Manvel basketball coach Greg Devers was caught by a swift punch from out of the blue as he tried to help his player s mom. Days later he was seen coaching with a nasty shiner.

Devers issued a statement saying his team has moved on, focused on their stellar season and hoping to go to the state championship.

LaMarque ISD says the game had been tense with trash talking on both sides. They have apologized to Manvel and sent six of their students to an alternative school. They also turned over evidence to the district attorney s office.

This tape is the latest school brawl caught on tape.

Kids have phones today. Fans have phones. There s lots of technology and so there s a very good chance it s going to be videotaped, said Alexander.

Alexander said none of their basketball players were involved in this mess.
