HOUSTON -- Firefighters worked to free a driver trapped in a vehicle that was wedged between an 18-wheeler and a concrete barrier early Wednesday.
It happened just before 6 a.m. as heavy rain and storms moved into the area off the Gulf.
Houston TranStar reported that the accident occurred on N. Sam Houston Tollway westbound at Bammel N. Houston Road.
Views from a freeway camera showed firefighters cutting into the rear of the vehicle.
There was no early word on injuries involved or on what caused the crash.
The tollway fully reopened at 7:45 a.m. after crews cleared the wrecked vehicles out of the way.
