HOUSTON - Houston firefighters were called to Garcia Elementary School on the northside early Friday morning.

Crews could smell smoke after an alarm called them to the campus on Aldine Westfield after 4:30 a.m.

It was determined a shed next to the school had caught fire. It did not appear the fire would affect Friday s classes.

It ended up being an outlet building, said Chief Carl Holder. There was no damage to the school, and there were no injuries. The fire was under control in a short amount of time.

Holder said arson investigators would look into what started the fire.
