HOUSTON A Houston man was re-indicted in a deadly drunk driving crash that happened more than a year ago.

Monson Durham, 43, was charged with intoxication manslaughter in the death of 45-year-old Troy Allen Randle.

An HPD unit pulled Randle over on Highway 288 near Yellowstone around 12:45 a.m. after he ran a couple of red lights, according to police.

Randle stopped his Kawasaki on the entrance ramp with the two-man HPD unit behind him.Police said the officers realized the ramp was not safe, and were about to adviseRandle to exit the freeway, when Durham came along in a blue Chevy Z71 pickup truck and sideswiped their squad car and the bike.

Randle died at the scene.

Durham was ejected from his truck on impact and was transported to Ben Taub Hospital with head injuries.While there, HPD performed a blood draw and discovered his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
