DALLAS -- The list of angry fans who were stood up by a sports promoter at the Cowboys-Steelers game two weeks ago is growing.

It stretches literally around the world and into the hundreds.

That list includes a couple from London, England...

Twenty Cowboys Fan Club members from Los Angeles who drove for 25 hours to get to Arlington...

And two police officers from Pennsylvania and their wives, who like the rest paid for their transportation to the game and lodging, only to find the tickets they thought they'd purchased months earlier did not exist.

All say they are victims of the Maximum Sports Connection and Ronni Sokol. Just before kickoff, they say she told them the game had been oversold.

I don't expect to get any money back, because with her track record, it doesn't look good, said Kerry Vincent of the Mechanicsburg Police Department in Pennsylvania.

He and his wife finally did get into the game, but they had to pay another $500 for tickets from someone else.

My goal right now is to make sure [Sokol] can never do business again in this country, Vincent said. You're talking a boatload of money.

Ronnie Sokol's track record includes a $73,000 judgment against her by the Mariott Hotel at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for failing to pay for rooms.

According to Dallas County records, the federal government also says Sokol owes $81,000 in back taxes.

Maximum Sports used to be a tour operator for the Dallas Cowboys. That relationship was terminated.

The future of Maximum Sports is now unclear. Sokol has not returned phone calls from News 8.
