TUSCALOOSA, Alabama --A young woman fromNorth Texaswas killed Wednesdayinthe deadly tornadoes that destroyed much of Tuscaloosa.

Ashley Harrison is a 2007 graduate of Ursuline Academy in Dallas.

Harrison had moved to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama. She was studying economics.

Harrison called her parents Wednesday to tell themabout the bad weather heading to the state. She said she was going to hide in a closet.

Her apartment was directly hit and the students inside were tossed from the home.

Her uncle, a police officer from New Orleans,said the family searched for her throughout Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Harrisonwas found more than 100 yards from the apartment. Her boyfriend and a friend were found stillinside the apartment andboth survived.
