HARRIS COUNTY, Texas A 31-year-old man faces four counts of intoxication manslaughter following a crash at an Alief intersection late Sunday.

Million Zeghergis, 31, is charged with four counts of with intoxication manslaughter with a motor vehicle, court documents state. He is from Ethiopia, and is not a US citizen.

According to the Harris County Sheriff s Office, deputies responded to Synott at Beechnut around 10 p.m. after witnesses said that limousine company van ran a red light and T-boned a Honda Civic.

The driver of the Civic, Devendraprasad Patel, and three of the passengers in the backseat were killed in the accident. The victims ranged in ages from 60 to 80.

A female passenger in the Civic was sent to the hospital and was expected to survive. Deputies said the people in the Civic were returning home from a graduation party earlier in the evening when the crash occurred.

Zeghergis was sent to the hospital and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was later arraigned Monday afternoon with bond set at $400,000, $100,000 for each victim.

After his court appearance, prosecutors revealed that Zeghergis blood alcohol content was .107 three and a half hours after the accident.

He remains in jail.
