HARRIS COUNTY, Texas At least four teens were shot during an after-prom party early Saturday in north Harris county, deputies said.
According to the Harris County Sheriff s Office, it happened around 1:30 a.m. in a pasture and horse stables on gears road in the Greenspoint area.
Deputies said a person fired into the crowd after witnesses say he was told to leave. A father of one of the victims said his son s date actually brought him home yelling for help.
We was at home... the doorbell rung and when the door bell rung... one, two, three females and one guy brought my son in and said he got shot at the party, Albert Wencey, a parent of one victim, said.
Wency added that his son was bleeding from the head. Authorities said he suffered a superficial wound.
One teen was shot in the back and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition, officers said. Another teenage boy was taken to Northwest Medical Center in stable condition.
The fourth victim ended up at Memorial Hermann Hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper back, deputies said. Reportedly one of the victims is now paralyzed.
Investigators said all four teens are expected to survive.
Investigators said the party had students from three different high schools and may have had up 300 teens. One of the schools represented was said to be Westfield High.
