HOUSTON The Houston Astros have reached a one year agreement with catch Jason Castro, who was one of two Astros players eligible for salary arbitration.

The terms of the deal were not made public.

During his All-Star campaign of 2013, Castro hit .276 with 18 home runs and 56 RBI s.

Castro led all AL catchers in slugging (min. 450 PAs) and finished second in OPS. Castro was a first-time, arbitration-eligible player and has played in parts of three seasons with the Astros (2010, 2012-13).

The team also avoided arbitration with Jesus Guzman, signing him to a one year contract.
