AUSTIN, Texas -- Sunday the National Weather Service canceled the winter storm warning for Llano, Burnet, Gillespie, Blanco, Williamson, Hays and Travis counties counties. They said they are expecting less ice accumulation in those areas.

KVUE's Storm Team is still expecting rain mixed with sleet, freezing rain and possibly snow through Tuesday morning.

The areas are still under a winter weather advisory, which means that the weather is expected but should not cause potential harm to life or property.

The Texas Department of Transportation warned travelers to exercise extreme caution when driving due to potential ice in the Hill Country.

While drivers may think roadways are fine, black ice covered by snow is a hazard and can cause deadly crashes, the alert said.

TxDOT released the following safe driving tips:

  • Reduce speed. Speed limits are based on normal road and weather conditions, not winter road conditions.
  • Maintain at least three times the normal following distance on ice.
  • Use extra caution on bridges, ramps, overpasses and shaded areas, as they tend to freeze first.
  • If you start to slide, ease off the gas pedal or brakes. Steer into the direction of the skid until you feel you have regained traction, then straighten your vehicle.

TxDOT also released the following list of road conditions in other areas across Texas:

  • Amarillo No road closures, but travel is hazardous due to snow and ice; travel is not advised
