HOUSTON -- On Saturday, Texas A&M takes on Alabama for a much-anticipated rematch of last year s huge upset.

Aggies are ready for another victory and Wednesday night, a few hundred fans gathered at Houston s CityCentre for a rally.

Retired Yeller leaders led the crowd with jokes, gig ems and cheers. A sea of maroon flooded the courtyard which was repainted to look like A&M s Kyle Field.

These are the kind of fans that are money. Their enthusiasm has helped drive up prices for the Aggie - Alabama game: the average ticket costs $652.

According to ticket search engine SeatGeek, tickets are also in record demand for a regular season college football game.

That average ticket costs more than any average San Antonio Spurs NBA Final Home Game and more than the next three home games combined for either the Texans or the Cowboys.

Last year s upset of Alabama, put A&M and Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel on the map. He s money too. When his signature troubles threatened to keep him off the field, Will Flaherty with Seat Geek said they saw prices fall all the way down about 30% to $545 on average.

The day the NCAA said Johnny Football could play things quickly changed.

We saw activity shoot up, Flaherty said. We saw the volume go up three fold and saw prices rise back up.

SeatGeek said the highest price it has seen paid for an A&M Alabama ticket was $5,000 for a club seat. The cheap seats were going for about $330.
