HOUSTON Nine children were transported to a hospital Wednesday after an Aldine Independent School District bus was involved in a wreck with a pickup truck in north Houston.

The wreck happened just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1960 and W. Hardy. The pickup truck was headed northbound on W. Hardy when the driver struck the driver s side of the school bus heading westbound on FM 1960.

Investigators said the pickup driver ran a red light before it collided with the bus.

The nine students were taken to Houston Northwest Medical Center with minor injuries. There were a total of 29 students on the bus heading home from Parker Intermediate School.
