HOUSTON--Authorities are asking for the public s help in identifying the remains of a body found in northwest Harris County last week.

On October 16, someone noticed a plastic bag near the 12500 block of Walters Road. Inside, were the remains of a badly decomposed body.

The shirt worn by the victim was green in color, with the design shown on the pink shirt.

According to the medical examiner s office, the remains are of a female about 5 2 to 5 4 . She was wearing the above mentioned shirt with dark-colored capris pants size 5. It is believed that she may have been there for just over a month.

At this point, it s going to be up to DNA to determine the identity of this person, or if somebody can tell us they have a loved one missing, said Sgt. Felipe Rivera with Harris County Homicide Division.
