HOUSTON--It certainly looks like a late spring day with highs in the 90s on Friday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

By noon, temperatures were already in the upper 80s and will continue to climb, with humidity making it feel even warmer. Overnight will cool down into the muggy 70s.

A slight chance of rain comes in Saturday and increases to 40% on Sunday, before clouds clear out again for the work week.

Conditions are still warm enough in the tropics to produce more storms and there are currently two disturbances under observation. Tropical Storm Patty is expected to lose intensity, but another disturbance southeast of Puerto Rico will likely strengthen with some models carrying it into the Gulf of Mexico.
