HOUSTON A young boy was sent to a hospital with burns after other kids sprayed him with flammable liquid in North Harris County, deputies said.
It happened Tuesday evening at the intersection of Sandydale and Chrisman where a junior high school football game at Grantham had just ended.
Deputies said some kids were walking around with a spray bottle filled with some type of flammable liquid, lighting things on fire. The liquid was apparently sprayed onan 11-year-old boy, who caught fire.
It s unknown if the incident was accidental or if he was sprayed intentionally.
The boy suffered second-degree burns over 50 percent of his body and was transported by ground ambulance to MemorialHermann Hospital. Doctors then sent the boy to Shriners Hospital in Galveston. He was listed in stable condition at last check.
A little girl received minor injuries and was treated on the scene and released.
The Harris County Fire Marshal was at the scene of the incident, along withHarris County deputies.
