HOUSTON A judge Friday denied the change of venue request made by three Houston Police Department officers accused of beating teen burglar Chad Holley.

The officers filed the request in August 2011. At that time, Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland, and activist Quanell X were each called to testify in a Harris County Criminal Court. All three agreed that a now-infamous surveillance video of the beating should not keep a trial from happening in Harris County.

It was March 2010 when several HPD officers were captured on surveillance cameras arresting Chad Holley, 15, a burglary suspect.

After Holley jumped over the hood of a police car, he fell to the ground and put his hands behind his head. Some of the officers pounced on Holley and proceeded to kick and hit him both before and after he was handcuffed, the video showed.
