AUSTIN, Texas -- Regents at the University of Texas will soon make a decision about the future of Longhorn football.
One of the items on Monday's special meeting agenda deals with the team's brand new football coach, Charlie Strong. The board will meet by phone to decide whether to approve Strong's hiring and contract.
The posted agenda for the meeting says regents need to approve Strong's contract because he is a highly compensated employee.
Strong will reportedly receive a five-year contract making $25 million. Final details on the contract have not been released.
