HOUSTON Houston police are hoping that a suspect who was shot by a liquor store owner Friday will turn up at a hospital.

The suspect was caught breaking into the Neighborhood Liquor Mart, located on Airline and Calvalcade, around 6:30 a.m.

After the alarm went off, the owner caught the suspect breaking in through a crawl space on the floor and opened fire.

After being hit by thieves not once, but twice, the store owner wasn t going to take it anymore.

The suspect was hit, but still managed to get away while leaving a trail of blood behind him.

K-9 units were brought out and the suspect s trail ended at a laundry room at a nearby apartment complex. They found his blood-stained clothes, but the suspect was nowhere in sight.
