HOUSTON A homeowner was shot and killed, and several others injured, when a group of suspects barged into his three-story northwest Houston home Tuesday morning, according to Houston police.

Family members said 41-year-old Emil Williams, who owns a successful sweeping service,and at least three others were at the home in the 1900 block of Dolly Wright when four to 10 suspects ran in.

The suspects pistol-whipped the others, then shot Williams several times.

The suspects stole a black BMW from the home, but abandoned it anearby church.

Family members were struggling with the news and wondered how anyone could be so cruel.

As a family, we are devastated by what s happening and what s going on, said Latasha Ruegamer.

He was a very calm, collected and chill guy, another family member said. He was a really good person.

The motive for the shooting is unknown, althoughWilliamsdid have racing cars,machines and toold in hishome.The home reportedly has security gates and a video surveillance system and neighbors say it is one of the nices houses in Acre Homes.
