SUGAR LAND, Texas A group of home invasion robbers hit a mother over the head and stole a family s cash and car in Sugar Land, police said.

It was reported around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 7400 block of Baldwin Crossing, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.

Police said a female homeowner in her 50s answered the door, and four men rushed in.

Not wanting to show her face on camera, a daughter described how the four men tricked her family.

They pretended to be pizza delivery pizza guys, she said. My mom mistook the pizza guy as my cousin because he was coming to sleep over because the pizza carrier looked like a laptop carrier.

The woman said her mother tried to push the door closed, but couldn t.

Four men, believed to be in their 20s, stormed the home, demanding money.

One suspect pistol-whipped her mother before tying her up.

When these guys were pushing, my sister was sitting on the couch, ran into the master bedroom, took dad s cell phone and tried to call police, but it wouldn t go through, she said.

The men caught up with the woman s sister and her father and also tied them up before taking two large TVs, two laptops, jewelry, an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as their 2003 Toyota Camry.

The woman s husband and daughter were home at the time, but were not injured.

Investigators said the suspects may have targeted the family because they own a dry cleaning business.

Police did not release a description of the four men involved but said the missing Toyota s license plate number was BZ0-Z060.
