There are plenty of opinions at Stouts Building Center in Mount Washington where the Obama Bop, a 54-inch punching bag depicting President Obama, is being sold. And that's not the only item that's raising eyebrows.
Some adults don't like it. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And some adults do like it, said Mary Mullins with Stout's Building Center.
There are plenty of opinions at Stout's Building Center in Mount Washington on one of its hottest selling items, the Bop Obama punching bag.
It's a little vinyl bag that you fill up with sand or water and it's like a punching bag. It's a toy, said Mullins.
But this happens to feature a depiction of President Barack Obama with a black eye and in boxing attire. Mullins says it's not meant to be a political statement.
But is it offensive? Yula Lee Culver finds it's disrespectful of the President and the Office.
I don't approve of it. I don't think it's a good idea. He's still our President. If you don't like him then don t vote for him. I don't think a punching bag is a good idea, said Culver.
Bill Oller's son bought one and displays it in his front room.
The store does not carry items depicting Mitt Romney but online we found many similar items depicting Republicans including Mitt Romney toilet paper and a Punching Mitt . For some it's political humor for others it crosses the line.
I don't care much about him but I do think that punching bag is a little far out, said Oller.
The store has no plans to stop selling the Obama punching bag. They say they have received a wide variety of comments.
