HOUSTON HISD on Thursday announcedsome revisions to a $1.9 billion bond proposal that would rebuild or renovate 38 schools across Houston.

Under the new plan, the district would build a new campus for DeBakey and Davis High Schools, as well as Wilson Montessori.

Originally, those three schools would just have been renovated.

Five elementary schools Condit, Kelso, MacGregor, K.Smith and Tijerina were removed from the rebuilding list under the revised plan, to free up funds for the DeBakey, Davis and Wilson projects.

The HISD School Board is expected to vote on the plan on August 9. If they approve it, a bond referendum would be placed on the November ballot.
