HOUSTON Investigators are trying to determine who was at fault when a Houston police officer and a civilian driver crashed in southeast Houston early Friday.

Police said the HPD officer was heading to a person down call around 3:20 a.m. The squad car had flashing lights on as it crossed the red light in the intersection of Martin Luther King Blvd. and South Acres when it crashed into another vehicle carrying two male occupants. Their light was green.

The civilian driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. His passenger was not hurt.

The HPD officer did not suffer any injuries.
