HOUSTON -- The southbound lanes on the W. Sam Houston Tollway just before the Central Toll Plaza were closed for two hours on Friday evening after a Lincoln Navigator crashed into a FedEx 18-wheeler.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. just south of W. Little York.
The driver of the SUV lost control in the EZ tag lane and struck the FexEx trailer. The big rig jackknifed.
Both drivers were transported to the hospital in good condition, according to firefighters on the scene.
All southbound lanes were closed on the W. Sam Houston Tollway and traffic was diverted to 290.
The truck was towed away just after 10 p.m.
