HOUSTON Investigators are searching for two suspects in connection with a bank robbery Saturday morning in the Alief area.

According to the Houston Police Department, the robbery happened at 10 a.m. at a Bank of America on Bellaire Boulevard near South Kirkwood Road.

Investigators said that a man and a woman armed with small handguns entered the bank wearing ski masks. Witnesses said that the suspects were aggressive and pushed one customer to the ground.

The couple then demanded money from the cashier, police said.

The bank s security guard fired three shots at the suspects as they were leaving the building, but it is not known if they were wounded, police said.

The suspect fled in a beige or gold newer model four-door vehicle with paper plates and a bullet hole in the back window, police said.

Some of the cash was recovered after the suspects dumped it, police said. Apparently one of the dye packs hidden with the cash exploded.

The male suspect is described as a black male and about 5 feet 1 inches tall with a medium build, police said. He was dressed in all black. The female suspect was described as a black and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. She was wearing a red or orange hoodie.
