SUGAR LAND, Texas Koby Clemens, son of 7-time Cy-Young Award winner Roger Clemens, has finished play with the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing him to sign with the Sugar Land Skeeters.

Clemens agent confirmed the move with KHOU 11 Sports on Wednesday.

Koby will now catch for his dad, Roger, when the former MLB pitcher takes the mound Friday in Sugar Land at Constellation Field.

Koby was in York, Pennsylvania on Tuesday to catch his father s side session. He was originally drafted by the Astros in 2005. This season, he hit .246 with 8 homeruns and 24 RBI between A and AA in the Blue Jays minor league system.

Sugar Land hosts Long Island on Friday.

Clemens first outing with the Skeeters on Aug. 24 was a successful one. The right hander went 3 and a third, striking out 2 and retiring 10 of 11.
